We just brought a new house last month, and the home came with all GE Appliances in it. We have this model dishwasher, and We thought well. maybe they gotten better.. So after we use this dishwasher for a few weeks, I must say, It’s not a TRUE dishwasher. We do alot of cooking and baking and we have to pre-scrub our cookware. In our last home we had a Maytag 7100, and that SCRUB for us!

The R-1874 is a versatile Over the Range microwave ever. By combining that combines convection cooking with microwave energy. The R-1874 is a wonderful "second oven". It browns, bakes, broils, crisps and roasts with microwave, convection, combination broil options. A generous 1.1 cu.ft stainless steel interior easily handles a variety of cooking needs.

The General Electric Company for refuses to honor their stated warranty. . To quickly summarize, we have a brand new GE dishwasher which, after the second use, exhibited 50 - 60 pinhead sized pits resulting in rust spots. GE Service refused to remedy this, effectively telling us “tough luck”. This dishwasher was installed in September 2007.

Briefly, the new General Electric dishwasher we purchased has a stainless steel tub. Shortly after installation (i.e. 2 weeks) a number of small, pinhead-sized pits in the surface of the stainless tub were noticed due to rust rings forming around them. The area covered by these pits continues to spread. We now regularly scrub the rust off to avert possible health hazards associated with rust particulates clinging to clean dishes and silverware.
