We needed a fridge to replace our 19 cu foot unit(20 years old another Amana). The question was to go up or down in size. We decided on this 25 cubic foot Amana. We are glad we did. We had to remove a kitchen cabinet which I am cutting down in size to put back up. This unit in Bisque is a gorgeous clean looking unit. Nothing ultra fancy but so very accessible every where. The fridge gallon units on the door leave soooo much room inside. The door storage is ideal. Fantastic improvement in refrigerator design. The clear doors on the butter tray avoid surprises so you don’t get stuck trying butter warm toast with a frozen stick of butter because someone didn’t notice the butter was down low. The drawers a smooth as silk. The freezer pullout drawers are fabulous. Arrange as you wish. You can see everything up or down. You have every thing at your fingertips. Likewise with the upper fridge unit it is so roomy compared to a 19 cu ft. we are so glad we got this one. I really don’t hate anything about this Amana. The handles could have been a little prettier. But over all it is a truly totally functional unit in every way. Easy to use and easy to clean. Both freezer drawers pull out fully exposing the contents of both drawers. We didn’t get an auto cube maker. With the free access to the upper freezer drawer you can easily make tons of cubes quickly and have plenty of storage for them. My wife is getting tired of hearing me say ” I just love this fridge” every time I open it. We vacuum freeze a lot and there is nothing more frustrating than having things hidden in the never never land of freezer hide aways that conceal and render items inaccessible or just gone away to never never land. You know, like the steaks or chops you froze 2 years ago and knew they were in there somewhere but couldn’t find when you needed them. When the freezer went south for the winter NOW you found all sorts of surprises hidden down there when you emptied out the bowels of the freezer when the replacement fridge came. This unit allows you to see and get to everything in your fridge or freezer. As you by now can see, I just love this fridge.
