I love this dishwasher! Its quite, it cleans unbelievably well, and it looks good.

When I moved in to my new house a 3 years back I had originally intended on getting a Bosch dishwasher but I had read that the parts were difficult to get from Germany so you could possibly be out of a dishwasher for a while. With that in mind I bought a Kenmore Elite instead. A big mistake. I will never buy another Kenmore appliance as long as I live. I will say this for Sears though. Their customer services is unmatched anywhere. I had a Master Service Agreement, which I highly recommend, on my dishwasher. My dishwasher was declared a lemon (serviced 4 times within a 12 month period) and I was credited back the full value of the dishwasher. Not the purchase price, the vale (about a $300 difference since I got the Elite on sale). This allowed me to purchase my Bosch with money left over. So on to the Bosch!

I, unlike most people, leave dishes in the sink for days before I load them into the dishwasher. I put in a large sink specifically for this purpose. The Bosch, if loaded properly, doesn’t seem to care. Another great thing about the Bosch is its convection drying (no internal heating element). That means you can put plastic anywhere without fear of it melting.

Everything is modular in this dishwasher. Most All of the tines are adjustable and you can put the silverware tray anywhere. I keep mine on the top rack towards the back. The top rack also adjusts up and down. You can drop the top rack down a level to fit large glasses and even small pitchers. The dishwasher has a number of settings that I haven’t ever used. I generally leave it on scrub wash, which works great for me. I have never had to use the next step up which is power scrub wash. There is also an optimizer button which cuts the cycle time by 10 to 15 minuets. I have tried it with and without this feature and cant see a difference, other than it takes less time for the cycle to finish. As an example, power scrub with out optimizer takes around 75 minuets, With, 60. There are only 2 drawbacks to this dishwasher and they are very minor to me. Like all modern dishwashers this one requires rinse-aid and it goes through a lot of it. It does have a light on the front though, that tells you when your out. Secondly, the dishes don’t come out completely dry. It’s not like their soaking wet but just a bit damp. This is not a big deal to me but might be to someone else.
