When this first came out with the heating element I knew I had to have one. My husband works in a warehouse and is constantly walking on the carpet which leaves black marks. I knew this would make for quick cleanup.

It worked fine for awhile. I always cleaned it after use. Then I didn’t use it for several months and it would no longer spray. I took it to be repaired and I was just within the one year warranty so it cost me nothing. It was working fine for awhile. The last time I went to use it (July 2007) it started out spraying but quickly stopped.

Attachments:

Small Attachment - Works well but the tab on top of the attachment breaks easily (replaced under warranty), broke again so I have taped it.

Brush Attachment - The brush has to lie completely flat against the surface to clean. This isn’t bad for short cleaning jobs but if you have to use it extensively it is hard on your hand and wrist as it is placed at an awkward angle.

Both attachments are hard to clean and have to be unscrewed and taken apart to do a really good job.

Hose sometimes gets in the way due to the way it wraps around the unit.

Summary:

Due to this breakdown occurring twice in a very short period of time I surmise that this will continue to happen. I may try to repair it myself as it is between $30 and $50 at a vacuum repair shop. At this price it would almost be better to purchase another one or purchase one of a different brand if this would continue to happen.
