The main floor of our home is mostly hard woods. However, one room, Her Highness‘ (our dog‘s) domain is carpeted, providing her with maximum comfort. Being of the Canine persuasion, her delicate aroma begins to linger within the fibers of the carpet. After a while, this unique fragrance begins to drift from her lair, and into the peasant’s quarters (the rest of the house).

Though we are only her loyal subjects, it can be a bit uncomfortable living day to day with this pungent presence. So, we revolted against her and decided to take matters into our own hands. She protested, but being unable to control her subjects, reluctantly conceded to our demands.

I wanted to get my own SteamVac for years. My husband however preferred to rent the good old Rug Doctor, which was okay, but when you total the cost of renting the unit, it’s like buying a new SteamVac twice a year!

Having two cats and a big dog causes a lot of wear and tear on my carpet, so I needed something that would keep the carpet clean and looking new.

Just bought mine today at Kohl’s which is the best price if you wait for one of there sales. Last night I bought the Bissell since I already had a Hoover and thought I would try a Bissell. All of my small units are Bissell and I have been happy. The Bissell has a rubber water bag that will not be sanitary or easy cleaning. Plus how will you get that dirty water from not spilling all over? How will that water bag dry? Sounded like a mold problem to me so I went back today and bought another Hoover. They improved from the old model I have but still a few flaws. Whoever designed the tool set must have never cleaned carpets. I am not sure about you but I do not have excess room to hang my cleaning tools. You just can’t beat the Hoover canister method though. Although the solution trigger on my old one is loose and my new does not seem so durable either. Suction was great and clean up is a no brainer. Suction is the most important thing and clean up time. If your suction is good your carpets come out real clean. Good Purchase you will be happy. Hope this helps someone save time and money because I have spent a lot of it to know what works the best plus I like things clean.

Bought the Little Green Machine a little over a year ago. I purchased the model with the heater. The first time it was used it worked great. Had some stains on some furniture and it sucked the stains right out. No problems there.

Did not use for about 6 months and tried to use it again. The spray nozzle to spray the water/cleaning solution would not work. Tried the procedures recommended in the manual to no avail. Looked at various sites on the internet and found out that people were complaining about the same thing. Also found out that the heat exchanger would plug if solution was left in the tank.

Not a good experience! I went to the store to purchase a Spot Bot, however, it was not in stock so I purchased the 1425 Little Green instead. The price of the 1425 was more favorable, and it seemed like a comparable product, and perhaps even a little more flexible in it’s usability.

The setup was extremely easy, out of the box, setup and using it in 5 minutes. It seemed to be doing a good job of cleaning my dogs vomit stains (that must have been on the carpet for a few days, when I discovered the mess).

I have 2 older cats (can’t always find the litter box) and a puppy who isn’t quite use to “going” outside yet, as well as 3 kids (3, 6 & 8). So you can imagine what my carpets look like! I would steam clean with a full upright at least once a month, but that gets to be a pain because you have to plan ahead when no one will be walking on the carpet for a day and it takes hours to clean the whole place. Then I heard about SpotBot! I knew it was my dream come true.

I bought the steamMOP with high hopes. It was to replace my broken FloorMate, a device that I loved in spite of its many design flaws. The FloorMate is the only device or method I’ve ever used that actually removed the gunk from hard floors. Unfortunately, the original FloorMate was just to fragile and it broke for good after a year and a half of service. After reading all the reviewes of the Bissell, I bought one 3 months ago. Although it effortlessy produces steam and leaves a clean-looking floor, it does not do a good job of making your floors FEEL clean. After using the FloorMate, my tile kitchen floor was squeaky clean. After using the Bissell steamMOP, my floor still feels sticky. I’ve tried using both terry pads during a mopping session, and removing them and rinsing them multiple times, but the bottom line is they don’t absorb enough of the dirty water and thus it dries with most of the sticky goo the steam melted.

When this first came out with the heating element I knew I had to have one. My husband works in a warehouse and is constantly walking on the carpet which leaves black marks. I knew this would make for quick cleanup.

It worked fine for awhile. I always cleaned it after use. Then I didn’t use it for several months and it would no longer spray. I took it to be repaired and I was just within the one year warranty so it cost me nothing. It was working fine for awhile. The last time I went to use it (July 2007) it started out spraying but quickly stopped.

I live in a messy environment (50 acre horse farm, one messy husband, five, big, messy, shedding, drooling, Newfoundlands ). I am also a ‘clean freak’ with a full time job (college professor)and not enough time! I’ve used traditional mops, a Eureka steamer, the very expensive Shark steamer, the Clorox Ready Mop and the combination mop and vac. None of them are as good as this little thing! This steam mop gets the grime off my white (what was I thinking) kitchen tile, the textured ceramic floors in the great room, sunroom and bathrooms and cleans the sealed hardwood floors beautifully.

After visiting a local car detail shop and finding out that my 2 year-old’s spilled milk would cost me $120 to clean up, *I* cried. I decided that for that kind of money, I’d like to keep the steamer that cleans the carpet. Call me cheap. Anyway, I went to the local Walmart and picked up just the thing I thought would help: the Bissell Little Green canister vacuum.

The Little Green cost me $69.95 plus tax, and so I went home feeling pretty smug. I also got the Pet Odor and Stain product by Bissell.
