We bought this at Home Depot last week when our old Whirlpool finally kicked the bucket. This front-loading dryer has plenty of settings and options including a drying rack for shoes/sweaters, etc. Amazingly quiet.

It has a drying sensor that lets you know when they clothes are dry to save over-drying your clothes or wrinkling, and the wrinkle-care setting is great - it tosses the clothes lightly until you can get them out - up to 3 hrs after cycle ends. It is easy to use & great controls. It drys quickly. I love it!

We bought the matching LG Washer WM2077CW & the set is so great - the spin on the front-loading washer is great so the clothes aren’t drippy like a top-loader, so the dry quickly in this matching. Since the controls are all on the front, we get the advantage of extra work space for sorting, folding, basket storage on the nice flat tops of the machines. For this reason we did not choose to add the pedestals so we could use the extra work space on top in our small laundry room. My laundry room is so much more organized now compared to the old top-loading set!

I love the digital timer & the controls, the pleasant beep that is adjustable - by the way, and child locks for the doors as well. You can change the side the door works on, and this dryer may also be stacked with the matching washer if your space allows - I prefer the workspace on top, but nice option!

I got the extended warranty for the washer but I passed on the dryer thinking they’re a simple machine and I had a number of dryers and never a problem. Well not quite one month after the warranty expired the dryer drum split at the seam. I called LG to complain hoping they would step up to bat and replace what was an obvious defect in the machine, after all I have never heard of a dryer drum splitting, even on a old machine. They gave me a thorough runaround at their 24 hour help line. I had to get the thing up and running again due to the back up of clothes.I had it repaired by the service company LG recommended and was there when it was repaired.The dryer drum that came out was the thickness of tin foil.The repairman said it was an obvious defect in the weld and encouraged me to pursue LG to pay the bill, he said it’s not the first one he’s repaired with the same problem. LG ultimately said they would have done something for me, but now that I had it repaired they couldn’t.I spent about 2 weeks chasing after them before I had it repaired.While the repairman had it apart he replaced the rollers as well. He said those are also defective and will develop a flat spot which is why you will see complaints about the machine making a thumping noise.Will think long and hard before purchasing another LG product.

This company is not an American company and does not understand how to do business here. They sold me a dryer for propane installation but would not sell me the conversion kit. Instead I had to have a certified company order the kit for installation. This took 5 days. Then when the kit arrived there were no instruction and the service people did not know how to get into the dryer to install it. But even worse I could not get an appointment to install the kit for another 3 days. Then when it came time to install the kit there were no instructions and the service guy had to take whole darn dryer apart. And then to add insult to injury I get charged another $130 for the kit and installation.

I have been sitting at home without a dryer for 2 weeks now with no end in sight and the bloody thing cost $800. I could have bought Sears best dryer and had it delivered and installed and converted in 2 days because they stock the conversion in the store and anyone can buy it.

Rotten company. Don’t ever buy from them—they could not care less about customers.

I bought this with the matching washer 2 years ago and I haven’t had any major issues with the dryer. We did have one problem with the wires shorting out where the appliance cord attached but that wasn’t a fault of the product but rather the installation and it was covered under the warranty regardless.

Well my article title was a little poetic, but there is nothing funny about this 9400 Gas Dryer. As I explained in my earlier review of the Whirlpool Washer, we replaced our washer and dryer after 22 years. Finally dumped the two of them and started fresh! “She who must be obeyed”, also known as my wife, insisted that she wanted a top loading washer and a front load dryer. So we purchased this Whirlpool combo.

Let me start by saying I am completely satisfied with this appliance. It does exactly what it claims and does it well. We can wash towels, sheets, blankets, etc. and if we tell the dryer to get them “extra dry” they will come out with no moisture remaining.

The LG is not any more or less noisy than other dryers. I think the motor is a little less noticeable, but I’m probably splitting hairs here. I can’t really say that this unit is revolutionary, like the LG washer, although the controls are very easy to use and completely digital, and it does offer an optional remote monitor, which shows you the current stage in the drying cycle and number of minutes remaining, and beeps when the load is finished.

I was in charge of buying the washer and dryer for our new home. We went with the Bosch Nexxt series. The Platinum only had superficial differences so we bought the next one down to save a bit of money.

Our townhouse only had electricity hook ups so it may be due to that but we had problems from 6 minutes in. Our first load of laundry washed fine but the dryer showed an E01 error and made a loud buzz and stopped after 6 minutes. We turned it off, cleaned the lint, checked the balancing etc and started it again on a different cycle. 6 more minutes same thing.

We recently purchased a set of new LG TROMM washer/dryer. We decided to stack them since we have a very small laundry room and our washer has to be on the right side. The washer door is in the way of getting clothes in the dryer and not reversible. I am home with a new baby and have done a ton of laundry since we had this delivered. I have tried different settings and played around with the options.

I bought this LG dryer to match a new LG WM2496WM washer. My old dryer hadn’t technically died but the sensor wasn’t working properly and I had to re-start the dryer 4 times to make it completely dry the clothes.

Two years ago I spent $2,000 on a LG washer and dryer set for my wife - a DLE5977 dryer and a WM2277 washer - TROMM models. We comparison shopped before we bought, and in retrospect made a serious mistake. I very much regret buying these products and will never buy another LG product.
