I am not sure where anyone got the idea this item is no longer being manufactured but they sure are easy to find and buy. I got mine from BestBuy. The reasons I bought this model was the price and I have always been a big fan of Sanyo. I have and still use every Sanyo product I have ever bought. Most are over 20 years old!! Even a car stereo with a cassette player I bought for my first car in the mid 70s is still working. Does that say something about the company or what!! I did not know Sanyo built a refer until I found this one. I was not looking for a compact refer when I bought it but that was all the money I had left in my budget after buying my house. I figure after I can afford a full size I will move this one to the game room. Heck, for the price paid it would make a great computer cabinet for those of us that enjoy over-clocking PCs and looking for a way to cool the electronics.

I am single now and my daughter is with me on weekends so I really don’t need anything large right now anyway. Once I set it up on a stand you really don’t feel like it’s a compact anymore. I love my soda and the built in dispenser in the door is great. I can lay my wine bottles flat and all the storage in the door is great for all the condiments and as you can see it will hold quit large items also. The veggie drawer is roomy and maybe even larger than it needs to be for most of us.

Functionally I would say it’s a great item; it is extremely quiet and cooling quality is second to none. I have to barely turn the dial on to achieve all the coolness I require. It is easy to “over cool” and it will freeze your wine if desired, even though it is not a “freezer”. Its interior design is well laid out, the smooth walls and glass shelves make it a breeze to clean. If I had the opportunity to make any changes in this unit I would only mess something up. They have really thought this one through!!
