Purchased this fridge along with all the matching appliances for our kitchen. Within a week the ice maker had failed and needed to be completely replaced. They wouldn’t just replace the entire fridge, it was brand new and obviously had issues.

We’ve had it a year now and it has to be repaired yet again. This time the ice maker decided to flap open and close even though no one was there trying to get ice. It just started at random one night while sitting in the living room. The ting started flapping away. Now the whole circuit board has gone out and it doesn’t even keep temperature. Called maytag again and first we were told our warranty had run out. Then that they would do it “as a favor.” So the repairman shows up today. 2 weeks later with no fridge working for the last 2 weeks and maytag has ordered the WRONG part. So we are left with no fridge for yet another week.

I am shocked, SHOCKED at the awful customer service, the lack of care for someone who’s spent $10k plus on Maytag appliances.

Such a huge disappointment.

We’ve since been told that this fridge is just a few more complaints and problems away from being recalled.

Can’t happen soon enough. I feel TAKEN!
