Call us gullible, but we believed the whole Maytag Repairman commercials! The third rack really sold me but we have had nothing but troubles. Our unit is about three years old and we have had technicians out about 7 times, for different problems. The motor has been replaced twice, the water valve was replaced last year along with the electronic control panel. Just last week the drain hose had to be replaced because it had split and water drained out on to the floor. It is not quiet! We constantly hear grinding throughout the entire cleaning cycle. Even after a 2 hour cycle, the most of the dishes are coated in food particles. And that’s after running the Auto Clean and Extra Rinse cycles. The technicians can’t explain it. I’m kicking myself in the head for purchasing the extended warranty. I’m just waiting for that to run out, then I’m going to get a new dishwasher and it WONT be a MAYTAG.

We also bought a Maytag Neptune front loading washer at the same time and it stinks! I mean really, you open the door and it just smells of mildew or mold. How can that get your clothes clean, I ask you?
