We purchased a model DD602 Dish Drawer five years ago. The product is just great when it works, but we have had the repairman out four times since new, not good for just about the most expensive dishwasher we could buy. After the last repair, which is the second repair we paid the labor for, we contacted the manufacture regarding our concerns as the unit was about to totally go out of warranty. Needless to say, we were not looking forward to paying the full repair costs in the future. Fischer & Paykel verbally agreed to reimburse us for most of our labor repair cost, VERY NICE! And also agreed, on the telephone anyway, to give us an additional five years full warranty. When the warranty was not forth coming, we again contacted the company and after a lengthly period, they reneged on their promise of an additional warranty. We feel they use their customers to perform R&D and are not interested in standing by their products. I told the representative that when the unit fails again I will replace it with another brand of dishwasher rather then spend any more money on this poorly designed product, she did not seem to really care.
