Frigidaire AEQ7000ES / AEQ7000EG / AEQ7000EE Electric Dryer Review Dries as it should but expensive for what it is. I've had this dryer about a month and although it does its job just fine, I'm not sure it's worth the extra money. There are a lot of dry...
I spent months researching dryer/washer sets before deciding on this one. I am very pleased. It has a very large capacity for a stackable. It is also very quiet- a plus for me because our laundry room is in between our formal dining room and kitchen. The thing that most impresses me about this dryer is its ability to extract pet hair and lint from our clothes and linens. We have two dogs, so pet hair is a major issue for us. With my old dryer, I didn’t need to change the lint filter after each use. Now I know why- the pet hair and lint stayed on our clothes!!! The filter on this dryer is twice the size as my old dryer, but I have to change it after each use. I am happy to do so because I don’t need to use a lint roller anymore. If you have animals, this is definitely the dryer for you. This dryer has many cycles and options, although I don’t know if they are necessary. I must confess, I am not a manual reader, so these various cycles could be time and energy savers. Our clothes are basically wrinkle-free after drying, maybe because I can actually hear the “end of cycle” signal so the clothes don’t just sit in the dryer waiting for me to remember them!!! I also like the Extended Tumble button that keeps the clothes tumbling at the end of the cycle if I know that I won’t be home when the cycle finishes. I don’t know if this dryer necessarily “dries” any better or faster than others I have owned, but it is very easy to use and is very attractive. Even in the longest drying cycle, our clothes have never had that burned smell that sometimes happens when clothes are dried too long, perhaps because this dryer uses sensors to detect moisture levels. The Air Fluff/No Heat option is perfect for our down pillows and comforter- saving money on dry cleaning. The Damp Dry option is great for clothes that are not recommended for the dryer, but would otherwise be too wrinkled if they went from the washer to the hanger. I am certain that if I ever read the owners manual, I will be doubly impressed with this dryer!!! The plastic door seems flimsy, but I haven’t had any problems.
