Like the other reviewers, I got tired of washing dishes. It’s actually more appropriate to say I got tired of looking at the dishes I planned to do. I’m in an apartment and I found myself staring at EVERY drinking glass I owned sitting beside the sink, usually because the other pots and pans were soaking in the sink waiting to be washed too. I never really thought there was an option for a countertop dishwasher…I came across this one on this site by chance. After some more research, and taking space consideration into account, I went with this brand and model for the good reviews and good price (and excellent return policy of the retailer in case things didn’t work out so well).

Got my dishwasher, hooked it up almost immediately. One issue was getting the adapter attached to the sink. I took the piece off the faucet, then realized the adapter was threaded identically (both threaded on the outside). As mentioned in other reviews, getting the adapter attached isn’t even mentioned in the manual). So I headed to a local home improvement store to see about getting an adapter. The guy there was great, he knew what I needed and sized it, but they didn’t have the size necessary. On a chance, he pulled out the first washer inside the adapter — sure enough, it’s threaded on the inside too. Could have saved a trip if they had covered this topic in the manual, but it’s a small consideration and I just gave out the secret to everyone reading

Hooked it all up, been running it for a couple weeks now (the washer is sitting next to the sink, luckily I have just enough room for it to sit there). Washes everything superbly. The only qualms I have:

1. The drying feature doesn’t seem to do much. It has some sort of “vented dry” that is on by default, but you’d do just as well to open it up when the wash cycle is over and let them air dry. For the price, I don’t think you can expect a heated drying as you would have in other washers.

2. Noise. The actual operating noise isn’t anything more than I’d expect, but it does have a very loud beep when it finishes. Again, a small consideration, but it beeps loud and very long (8-10 beeps by my count), and there should be an option to either lower the sound or decrease the count, or both. I think they made it aggravating on purpose as you’d want to be reminded to get up and turn off the faucet.
