I got this for our 100 year old home’s small kitchen. After about 3 weeks of use I’ve found it’s a terrific machine. It is small enough to fit into a nook we have. But it holds an amazing amount. The interior is very similar to the Bosch we had at our last home. The dishes come out clean and dry. In fact, plastic Tupperware containers come out drier than from the Bosch. The fast cycle is really fast! And the nice looking top provides additional counter space for us. Having an enclosed, recessed place to hide the hose is great, too.

Upon arrival a wheel was broken and the users guide pages were stuck together - must have been wet inside the machine when shipped. I called Danby and instantly reached customer service, who sent a new manual and replacement wheel.

To watch out for: I thought it had malfunctioned because after two attempts, the soap stayed in the dispenser. Turned out to be that the end of a spatula was jamming against the soap dispenser when the dishwasher door closed, keeping the soap dispenser’s door from flipping open.

I haven’t found a way to extend the hose - the hose connector diameters are an odd metric size (each hose connector has a different diameter so you don’t accidentally swap them). If it were about 3 feel longer, I wouldn’t have to roll it at all. Danby advises against extending it more than 1 foot since the pump that removes the used water can’t handle a long hose.

Overall we just love this machine!
