Hi everyone,

we bought a Haier 18″ dishwasher online last October 17th, 2005. Starts of the nightmare. It did not work. Symptom: all the lights of various cycles, modes, are on at the same time. It did not spin. We called the online store, Appliances. They said that you can return only if it is working. Since our dishwasher does not work, we can not return. We called Haier support at 877.337.3639 at the beginning of last November. They refer us to A&E services (phone number 800.905.9505). They came in November 2005, and the technician said that he has seen the similar problems with the Haier 18″ dishwasher at other client sites. They asked Haier to send the parts and Haier keeps sending the wrong parts, and they were still trying to get the right parts. Conclusion: No solution! I got worried and told A&E services that I do not want to repeat what the other customers have run into. So I called Haier America support while the A&E technician was by my side. Haier said that A&E technician has to make it “unreparable” to get a

replacement. A&E would not do that. Between Jan amd Feb, 2006, A&E services sent 3 different technicians to work on my dishwasher. It took Haier 2 months to get the right parts to me. The joke started when A&E technician was asking for the new computer board with the chips. Haier sent instead a empty plastic case. Things like that.

Feb 11, 2006, A&E technician got fed up and eventually

said that the unit was not reparable. 4 days later,

without letting us know the appointment beforehand, A&E

technician showed up at our house again and said that

he was sent back by Haier to work on the dishwasher.

We were appalled and let him in. He took the unit aparts

and did not put things back and left. We called A&E

and they said that for the second time, they made it

unreparable. March 11, 2006, I called Haier America, they said that they received the report of A&E but could not read the lower portion of the report. I asked for

their fax number so that I can call A&E to fax it again. Haier refused to give me the fax number and said that A&E should know it. I called A&E and they said that they still need the fax number from Haier. Anyhow. I called in around March 18, 2006, and Haier said that they were still waiting for the report to be resent. I called in around April 3rd, 2006, about 5 months after A&E first came to my house for the service. Haier said that they got the report, finally, and they can read it. But they do not understand why A&E can not fix it and will talk to the Haier headquarter to find out. Haier Senior Customer Support, Katie, assured me that someone will call me in 3-5 business days, as she told me since March. No one has called me. So I got upset and set a letter to the president of Haier America, in their office in New York. You can find the address and the name

of their boss by talking to the customer support. Anyway.

Yesterday they called me (April 11th, 2006 - exactly 5 months later!), and they said that my dishwasher was outside and they will not honor the service contract.

I was shocked, and explained that we planned to use the

unit in our Tahoe house, and we took it back to SF Bay Area so that someone is at the house and they can come easily to work on it. I told them that the only faucet that has threads for connecting the water hose of the dishwasher is

outside the house, that is why I had to move the unit out

every time A&E technician came out. Surely I had to repack it

and move it back to my house every time after A&E was done with their service. So far, 6 times at least.

The lady of Haier said, “Oh”, and she said that

she would talk to the managers for a resolution.

She said that she would call me back.

So, guys, nightmare continues.
